- "A snickering trickster. But could he be more powerful than he looks?"
- "A tricky contrarian who loves to pull pranks. What is the power hidden within his small body?"
Appearance[]
He has blue hair with two spikes on each side and golden eyes. His hair can bend downwards like cat ears on some of the occasions he also has pointy ears. He is one of the shortest members on the team. His original clothing is Manyuuji's uniform which are beige colour Yukata-like uniforms with a pair of short beige pants.
As an adult, he is much much taller and wearing a pair of dark-blue trousers and a dark-blue coat. His hairstyle is still the same, though spikes are a bit shorter and his hair color has become a slightly darker blue and his chin has gotten sharper.
Personality[]
Kogure is a very mischievious character who frequently laughs (ushi shi shi) when others fall for his pranks. His tendency to set up pranks is led by his general distrust of others, a symptom of his childhood trauma when his mother abandoned him while on vacation. Initially, he sets up traps for revenge toward his former teammates in Manyuuji because he falsely believes that everyone is targeting him in some way.
After some interactions with Otonashi, Kogure rethinks his attitude, stows away on the Inazuma Caravan, and becomes a long-term member of Raimon, using his impressive agility and capoeira skills during games. While he is initially insecure and not confident about his soccer skills, he becomes deeply rooted in the team and works hard to help them win. Although he likes to prank his teammates (scribbling in Megane's favorite comic, doing something to Kurimatsu's items, putting hot sauce in their dinners), by the end of season 2, he admits to the team that playing with them has helped him gain a renewed sense of trust that he has lost ever since his abandonment.
By season 3, Kogure shows that he can be very sincere at times. While he has trouble apologizing to Tachimukai Yuuki after upsetting him, he gives honest feedback to his soccer. When he goes into the forest with Hiroto in episode 100, he shows a side of him that is innocent and childlike, amazed by the idea of camping with his friends. He still pranks others around him, but he has grown to become more mature and serious with his soccer teammates.
In Inazuma Eleven GO, he has matured even more. He does not prank Otonashi anymore and can honestly shake hands with her without any tricks, but he still has his signature laugh.
Plot[]
Inazuma Eleven[]
Season 2[]
He is from Manyuuji in Kyoto, and Otonashi was the one that urged him to be in the Raimon Eleven. Kogure debuted in episode 35. His prankster attitude and mistrust of everyone stems from an event in his youth, when his mother abandoned him at a train station. He was often off the team most of the time due to his lack of trust towards others and his pranks. The Inazuma Caravan visited his school during their travels and the Aliea Gakuen team "Epsilon" threatened to destroy Manyuuji if they couldn't defeat them. During the match, he became scared with Raimon's and Epsilon power, saying that they are crazy. After the match, he joins Raimon Eleven by stowing away on the caravan.
Thanks to Otonashi's help, Kogure has discovered his true abilities, and creates his first hissatsu technique: Senpuujin. In the match against The Genesis, he forms a new defense hissatsu with Touko and Tsunami called Perfect Tower.
At one point, he sincerely admits to his teammates that joining Raimon has helped him trust people again, something he has not done since his abandonment as a child. Otonashi offers to shake hands with him afterwards, hiding a frog in her hands and unexpectedly pranking him in return, to which he jokingly takes back his trust.
Season 3[]
In the FFI arc, Kogure is called by coach Hibiki to the Japan representative selection match. During the game, he uses Senpuujin to steal the ball from Sakuma. Later, he, along with Kazemaru and Kurimatsu successfully deflected Tsunami's Tsunami Boost. He is then chosen as one of the sixteen members of Inazuma Japan. During the match against Fire Dragon, Kogure becames scared with their tactics: Perfect Zone Press.
After the game between Inazuma Japan and Knights of Queen, he smirked that Tachimukai didn't have his own hissatsu technique, and laughed that he was a captain-copycat, urging Tachimukai to learn his own hissatsu. His words affected Tachimukai, and when Otonashi later talked to him, Tachimukai hesitantly tattles on Kogure. As "punishment", Otonashi drags Kogure out to help Tachmukai make a new hissatsu, with Kabeyama and Kurimatsu helping out too. Eventually, with Tsunami's help, they assist Tachimukai in completing Maou The Hand.
When they fight with The Empire, Kogure states that he, Kabeyama, Tobitaka and Kurimatsu will handle the passing of the ball even with the hissatsu tactics of the The Empire in effect. In episode 100, after he pranks Someoka, Kogure gets lost in the forest. After some time, he encounters Hiroto, who was training for the upcoming match, after the former is tangled in leaves and vines. The two boys stay out in the forest for one night, and Kogure shows a side of him that is fun-loving and childlike, marveling at Hiroto's camping stories with his Ohisama En friends. The next morning, the two enter a match with two Kappas; they struggle to get past the kappas and score, but Hiroto improves quickly and scores a goal. The kappas show them the way out of the forest. After returning to the lodge believing that they spent an entire night out, Kogure apologizes to the team for staying out overnight, much to the team's confusion. As it turns out, the overnight stay was only an illusion, and they were returned to the morning before, as if they had not spent any time away.
In episode 126, he played in team B with the other Raimon members that joined later on. During the match, he is shown to have evolved Senpuujin to the "真" level. He also used the technique 真 Perfect Tower. It's also known that Kogure became Manyuuji's new captain.
Inazuma Eleven GO[]
He appeared in episode 21 with his team, Akizora Challengers. They planned to play against another team, and it was said that the team was very excited because they haven't had a match in long time. But after it was canceled, Kogure didn't want to say it to the team, and arranged that they would play against Raimon instead. It is seen that he uses Senpuujin and stopped Sidewinder, but couldn't stop Buttobi Jump.
He lives in Kogarashi Manor with the other members of his team. Ten years later, he appears to be less mischievous and more smarter as Kidou has said that he works at a good company.
