Info[]

Endou was able to create this hissatsu because his grandpa, disguised as Little Gigant's coach, gave him a hint to block Edgar's move during the competition. It debuted in episode 88 during Inazuma Japan's match against England's representatives, Knights of Queen. Ijigen The Hand blocked Edgar Valtinas's all-powerful technique, the Excalibur used at the other side of the pitch with power added from Dragon Slayer, but wasn't able to block Fidio's Odin Sword or Querardo's Sling Shot.

Endou used Ijigen The Hand again during the match between Inazuma Japan and Unicorn. The technique was broken by Ichinose Kazuya's Pegasus Shot the first time it is used, but Endou managed to stop it the second time. The third time Endou faced this shot, despite Pegasus Shot breaking through Ijigen The Hand, it's deflected into the goal post and into Endou's hands. The catch technique was broken through easily by Mark Kruger and Dylan Keith's Unicorn Boost and Ichinose, Mark and Dylan's Gran Fenrir later in the match, letting in the score 2-1 and 3-2 respectively.

In episode 106, during Inazuma Japan's match against Orpheus, Endou evolved Ijigen The Hand into Ijigen The Hand 改 and defended the goal from Hide Nakata's Brave Shot, though later it was broken through by Sein's Heaven Drive.

In episode 111, he was able to evolve it again during the fight against Dark Angel, it became 真 Ijigen The Hand and it stopped Shadow Ray but Ronijo's Strike Samba V2 and V3 and Coyote's Gunshot broke through 真 Ijigen The Hand easily, which made Endou having to create a new, more powerful technique for the finals against Little Gigant. In episode 118, Rococo found a resemblance in God Hand X and Ijigen The Hand involving the hand movement and the way of gathering energy for the move.

Usage[]

One of the user's fists glows into a yellowish aura. The user then jumps up in the air, and hits the ground with the fist making an 'outer dimension barrier', making any shoot move upwards along the 'outer dimension' unless the shoot is too powerful, which then the ball breaks through the "outer dimension" barrier and crashes into the goal.

Trivia[]

  • The word Ijigen means outer dimension, hence the sphere that appears. In the anime, Megane gives the move this name due to its method of stopping the ball by diverting it to miss being on "another dimension" to any prior.
  • When Ijigen The Hand is used, there is a bright glow when Endou hits his fist on the floor.
  • Despite its typography being Dimensional Hand in the English dub, Endou says Ijigen The Hand instead.
  • Ijigen the Hand may be the only technique Endou creates on his own neither based on other moves nor from his grandpa's notebook in the original series. Ikari no Tettsui is an evolved technique from Seigi no Tekken, and God Catch is an evolved technique from God Hand. (More information needed for Megaton Head)
