Diego has dark skin and is short in height. He has dark teal hair styled in an afro and his eyes seem to be closed most of the time.
Personality
At first, he was overconfident along with the rest of his team. Although later, he and his team were shocked when Inazuma Japan made a comeback during the match.
Plot
Along with the rest of the his team, they had a match against Inazuma Japan and won with 2-1, being the only team to have beaten Inazuma Japan in the FFI and not tie with them.

- Diego is modeled after retired Argentine footballer Diego Maradona , more specifically his appearance during the 1986 FIFA World Cup.
- One of Maradona's nicknames is "El pibe de oro" (The golden child) which may explain this character's surname.
- He is also very short because Maradona is also short.
